Meet Maddie and Essence!
Maddie and Essence met at college while Essence was a First Year and Maddie was a Junior. At their college, First Years live in cohorts called “entries.” Entries consist of groups of freshmen live who with 3-4 JAs, aka junior advisors. JAs live with the entry to help them acclimate to college and act as a resource. Essence was one of Maddie’s 50 frosh (college lingo for first year), yet despite their age difference (and many others to go along with that) they became fast friends. Each entry had their own common room. The common room, or “croom” for short, was a place for entry mates to chill, talk about the ever changing world, watch movies, eat snacks, converse, and bond. Each week, our podcast aims to recreate the chill vibes and good conversations of our croom. We hope you enjoy! In the meantime, here is a little bit more about your co-hosts: Maddie and Essence.
